Publication Ethics
Jurnal Ilmiah Informatika dan Komputer is a means of publishing scientific articles containing research results in the field of Informatics and Computers that have never been published. This statement of scientific code of ethics (Publication Ethic) is a statement of the code of ethics for all parties involved in the process of publishing scientific journals, namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors/writers.
Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in managing publications;
Fairness, which is giving authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors; And Honesty, which is free from duplication and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
1. Determine the name of the journal, scope of science, scale, and accreditation if necessary.
2. Determine the names of the editor members.
3. Formulate the tasks between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties.
4. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors, and peer reviewers.
5. Apply norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
6. Review journal policies and convey them to authors, editors, peer reviewers, and readers.
7. Create a code of ethics guide for editors and peer reviewers.
8. Publish journals regularly.
9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
10. Build cooperation and marketing networks.
11. Improve the quality of the journal.
12. Prepare licensing and other legal aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor (Editorial Board)
1. The editor comments on the author's writing so that readers can understand what the author wants to convey, through comments written on the manuscript.
2. The editor comments on the author's writing according to EYD (Indonesian Spelling) or language according to journal standards.
3. The editor strives to continuously improve the quality of publications;
4. The editor prioritizes freedom of opinion objectively,
5. The editor submits corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if necessary,
6. The editor ensures that the author's writing does not involve SARA or anything that could be detrimental
7. The editor coordinates the author's writing to the editor-in-chief (Editor In Chief) of the publisher if the writing is somewhat controversial.
8. The editor receives, reviews, and follows up on complaints from all parties involved in journal publication;
9. The editor supports initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics, and does not defend his own opinions, authors or third parties that could result in non-objective decisions,
10. The editor encourages authors to make improvements to the article until it is worthy of publication.
11. The editor layouts the manuscript to be published to match the journal template.
12. The editor assists the editor-in-chief to complete the collection of manuscripts before printing and publishing, especially in terms of language, format, and layout.
Reviewer or Bestari Partner Responsibilities
1. Provide objective and impartial written input regarding the scientific value and contribution of the manuscript to the development of science;
2. Show whether the writing of the manuscript is clear, complete, and relevant and the information in the text is in accordance with the scope of the journal;
3. Do not provide personal criticism or comments; And Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript, by not discussing it with unauthorized parties, or disclosing information contained in the manuscript to other parties.
Duties and Responsibilities of the OJS Web Administrator
The Website Administrator is the person responsible for managing the journal website. Specifically, the scope of the Website Administrator's duties is as follows:
1. Configure the appearance of the journal website;
2. Configure system options and user account management;
3. Manage the list of editors, reviewers, and authors;
4. Manage journal features;
5. Manage report statistics; And
6. Upload/publish articles that have been accepted.
