Peer Review Process

The article review process is estimated to take about two to three months, but can take longer depending on the number of articles being reviewed. Authors will receive notification from the journal editor or editor-in-chief within three weeks of submission of the article manuscript.

(Step 1) The complete manuscript in soft copy format (Word .doc/.docx format) must be submitted to the Editor of Jurnal Ilmiah Informatika dan Komputer via OJS Jurnal Ilmiah Informatika dan Komputer

(Step 2) The manuscript is then submitted to the Editor-in-Chief to be assigned to be reviewed by two (2) reviewers who are considered to have expertise in accordance with the research field in the article. The identities of the authors and their institutional affiliations will be kept confidential from the editor. Reviewers will review the paper for the novelty of the research, relevance and quality of the article writing.

(Step 3) The reviewed manuscript will likely result in four categories: 1) accepted for publication (Accept Submission) 2) accepted with minor revisions (Revision Required), 3) accepted with major revisions (Revision Required), and 4) rejected (Decline Submission). The review results will be sent back to the editor to be forwarded to the author.

(Step 4) If necessary, the author must revise the manuscript based on the reviewer's comments and suggestions and resubmit the manuscript within two weeks.

(Done) When the manuscript is decided to be accepted for publication, the editor will schedule publication and notify the author regarding the journal number and volume.
